My approach to therapy is relational, trauma-informed, and liberation-centered, focusing on connection to your body, your ancestors, and your unique cultural identity. I believe that healing isn’t meant to be an individual process, but a collective one. We weren’t meant to do this work alone. I believe that liberation is intertwined with our ability to heal from the wounds passed along to us. My practice is rooted in social justice and decolonial values, empowering you to reclaim your power and challenge any narrative that focuses on blaming the individual instead of the system. My gentle approach creates a sense of belonging and through collaboration, it allows you to explore your experiences and see your strengths. I'm dedicated to providing culturally-sensitive care that honors your identity and supports your healing. I am currently in my final year of my Doctorate in Social Work program where my scholarship is focused on community-based interventions that lead to pathways of healing intergenerational trauma.

I am an integrative psychotherapist offering a neurobiological-based approach that combines mindfulness based experiential therapies. These cutting edge therapies (stated below) will help free clients from negative beliefs, overwhelming emotions, and distressing behaviors. They can regain their vitality and be in theirn authentic self allowing them to enjoy life and cope with life's travails. .
More important than my technical expertise is my ability to create an atmosphere of trust and safety for clients to get to know themselves without shame, blame but with curiosity and compassion. Many of the people that I work with have told me "you get me" and feel seen, heard, and validated.

I'm an AEDP certified therapist with training in a range of somatically focused trauma therapies, specializing in working with high achieving men who are struggling in their relationships. I have also trained with Laurel Parnell and like to incorporate AF-EMDR when it makes sense. I often work with couples where at least one member of the couple has experienced trauma and find that EFT and PACT work well in helping couples heal and develop greater intimacy.

I'm a trauma therapist who brings scientific rigor and compassionate realism to emotional healing. Rather than pathologizing everyday struggles or offering quick fixes, I help clients accurately assess their emotional wounds—distinguishing between daily friction, emotional pain, and genuine trauma—so we can choose the healing approach that actually fits their experience. My work emphasizes human resilience and adaptability, guiding people to reclaim their agency in recovery while honoring the complexity of their pain. With expertise in trauma, attachment wounds, and emotional regulation, I create space for clients to understand their responses as intelligent adaptations rather than signs of brokenness, fostering hope grounded in neuroscience rather than wishful thinking.

I am semi-retired from a private practice in Montclair, NJ and more recently NYC. I worked for 12 years in the field of child sexual abuse in Newark, NJ so I'm familiar with court proceedings and reporting requirements.
